* Mrs. Peoples *

I am officially a married lady! Here are a few photos taken by friends.

The bouquets were absolutely beautiful! They were made by my friend Erin of Eadams Designs.

I'll post more when my photographer , Rebecca Stark, sends me her photos....

* showered with love *

Has it really been over two months since I've blogged?! I've been busy... doing lots of blog worthy things... making wedding invitations, painting our new place, playing some softball, working on wedding stuff... the list goes on and on, but that's not the title of this post.

On Sunday afternoon I was showered... with love and many beautiful gifts by some very wonderful and creative ladies. Margie Reber, Barbara Palla, Deb Tara and Kim Hill threw the most elegant tea party bridal shower at the Dream Inn for me! All the gals were there to celebrate with me. It started with a hat decorating station, 'cause what's a tea party without a fancy hat to wear. We sat at perfectly decorated tables each set with a different set of china and a teapot centerpiece with wild flowers. We played games, ate lunch and opened gifts. I am so blessed by my friends, family, co-workers, former bosses and housemates past & present. Thank you to ALL of the beautiful women in my life! Here are a few photos for your viewing pleasure.

* Look what came in the mail yesterday *

This beauty arrived in the mail in a big box yesterday.
Now to be fair I did win it on Ebay so I knew it was coming, but its just so fun to have packages waiting for you when you get home from work! You might be asking yourself what is so exciting about this hobnail milkglass vase? Well it is one of the centerpieces for my wedding. I know I said I couldn't decide on anything with any certainty for my very own wedding. Well I most certainly have decided that I love these antique hobnail milkglass vases in all sorts of shapes and sizes and I have been dilligently collecting them for the last month.
Here's a shot of the whole "collection".

In fact I took a box of centerpieces down to Alexis Party Rental on Monday to play around with linens and chairs, china and glassware. I have decided that yellow and white are definitely "my colors".

Here's a sneak peak at the table linen and some of the centerpieces with makeshift floral and lemons.

The linen is Shangri-la and the daffodil yellow napkin is hidden by one of the vases on the right. I think it will be quite pleasing when its all done up!

* wedding dreams *

I'll be honest... I spend most of my day thinking about my wedding! As I drive to work, usually while I am at work, on my drive home from work, at home when I'm browsing the internet, while I sleep I sometimes dream about my wedding. I'm an event planner, I do this for a living. I've helped plan so many weddings I've lost track of how many. But now its my turn, for real, and I'm stuck. I can't decide what colors I like best, I can't decide what theme I'm most excited about, I can't find the perfect dress, I haven't decided what I want the bridesmaids to wear, I don't know which flowers to choose, I haven't event decided on which "save the dates" to send out. I think its because the deadline is so far away.... August 1st.

Well here's what I like, but nothing is decided... yet.

* I like this bouquet, yellow and white are my current favorite.

* I love this dress from Priscilla of Boston, its not in my price range.

* I am enamored by this veil. It is perfect!

* Would a yellow and white cake would be too cute? I think I want lots of desserts, not just cake!
* It wouldn't be the perfect summer ceremony without some refreshing lemonade while the guests wait for me to walk down the aisle. Bonus: its yellow.

I suppose you will have to stay tuned to see what I actually decide on for the wedding day!
